Bill Leblanc, better known as Rellik, is an emcee from Edmonton, Alberta. He got into hip hop at age 11, started DJing and rapping at 14 and was producing by 16. Throughout his career he has shared stages Talib Kwali, D12 ,Buffy St. Marie, The Game, Kardinal Offishall and to Warren G to name a few. He has also proudly shared the stage with many childhood heroes such as Run DMC, Red Bone and the Hieroglyphics.

Co-founder with fellow aboriginal artist, Plex of one of Edmonton's longest running rap groups 118, Rellik has been performing live shows and recording tracks for over a decade.

From his latest album, Mighty Mouth being currently nominated for Aboriginal recording of the year, playing the upcoming Breakout West festival, recently appearing with Plex on APTN’s Aboriginal day live!, to appearing in numerous U.S compilations and magazines throughout 2011, Rellik is quickly making up for lost time in the music industry and releasing “Mighty Mouth, the remixes”, featuring remixes from 12 top Canadian producers ,followed by his sophmore solo release, Signature.

Rellik is a gifted wordsmith known for his quick witted and gritty punch-lines. No stranger to adversity he has transcribed his experiences growing up in low income housing to raising his children, into hard hitting lyrics skillfully spit with emotion and determination. Raised on Cree principles, Rellik is of Irish and Sioux descent and does not feel the need to write exclusively about either. “While I am still in touch with my aboriginal roots, I feel I need to write material that all hip hop listeners can relate to regardless of their ethnic background or experiences.”

Rellik has a rare gift in composing lyrics that not only get in your face but get right under your skin. His gut wrenching messages are carefully placed on top of beats carefully arranged so the listener is barely aware of the impact his words bare, often until the second or third take. A seasoned performer with hundreds of high energy performances tucked under his belt he turns wordplay into a craft with ease. Relliks sound is often compared to RA the Rugged Man and Aesop Rock. His professionalism in the studio and on stage promises to seduce mainstream markets not only in Canada and the US but overseas as well.
